WELCOME to the INTERPRETER of LOVE PROJECT

My name is Amira.
If you’re a trauma survivor, I wish you healing.

The goal of The Interpreter of Love Project it to provide inspiration and resources for trauma survivors, including vibrant examples of healing from deep trauma.

Simply put, the project’s purpose is to help hope for survivors of extreme trauma.

The mission is to create a safe place where trauma survivors can share their story, build community and develop a meaningful vision for their lives. In this way they may also find a safe space to support each other.

The project’s vision is a world where every survivor of extreme trauma can enjoy a life of dignity, purpose and meaning.

As a keeper of light, I hold it a sacred responsibility to submit myself humbly in service to you, my fellow survivors, by sharing insights from my own healing journey. I will build, adapt and reshape this project in response to survivor needs and requets as they arise.

To learn more, please look at the inaugural project blog post: What Is the Interpreter of Love Project?

This project offers a window into another world. I hope it highlights pathways into light. The stories and resources here promote ways of being and perceiving that connect us to forces larger than our lives.

Like the chrysalis that becomes a butterfly—an emblem of beauty and liberation—we can grow whole.

Take wing.

Fly.

AMIRA the WRITER

An author, advocate and “thriver survivor,” Amira has dedicated her life to giving voice.

Trauma silences. My writing, teaching, advocacy and other work have all centered in many different ways on giving voice. To reclaim our own voice is core to healing. Voice is agency.

    A little background

If you are experiencing extreme trauma, often your life goes off-track in peculiar ways. It can even seem that no matter how hard you try, you can’t quite live your life in the same way that “normal” people do.

If you’re thinking about suicide, the first reason not to kill yourself is that you’re precious.
